RCS Holiday Gift Guide: For Dad

As a proud dad, I’m confident in saying that I’m pretty hard to buy for.  I don’t envy Mrs. RCS, although she knocks it out of the park every year.  With that, I’m here to help.  Dads don’t need a lot, but the things they do get they should absolutely love.  That’s where we’re at this year: GREAT gifts that any dad will enjoy/use/brag about to their buddies.

So here you go: gifts for the dads:

From top left:

1. Hook + Gaff Field Watch:  I wear mine a LOT, and frequently receive compliments.  I really like the rubber Dive straps as a way to add some color.
2. Rivay Highlands Shetland Sweater:  If you have to own one sweater, get a killer Shetland sweater.  Good fit, neutral color, and high style.  He’ll wear this all the time.
3. Sony Premium Wireless Headphones w/ Mic:  I got these earlier this year and have really enjoyed them.  The noise cancellation is legit, the sound quality is top-shelf, and the mic makes these ideal for TEAMS calls.
4. GolfForever Year-Round Swing Trainer:  I started using these from my golf instructor, and see what all the fuss is about.  These are great tools to stay dialed in.
5. Anker Power Bank:  Dad’s = power.  Power = power.  Do the math.
6. Rodney Scott’s BBQ Sauce:  This is all we eat in this house.  Rodney does it right…it’s good on any and all white meat (pork, chicken, turkey…) and we put it on some green veggies (collards, etc.).  You will NOT be disappointed.
7. Sea Island Forge Grill Tools:  There are grill tools, and there are GRILL TOOLS.  These are the tip of the spear and are built to last forever.
8. Fully Loaded Yeti Bucket:  A great, practical tool for any dad.  Whether he’s working in the yard, coaching a baseball game, or on the boat fishing, this is the way to go.
9. Topo Designs Session Backpack:  The best backpack I have in my arsenal.  And as a dad, we need something to haul around all the stuff for the kids.  Great size, design, and style.
10. Benchmade Meatcrafter Knife:  Just the right sword for the king of the grill.
11. Blairs Belts Candler Alligator Belt:  There is no better upgrade than fitting your dad with an alligator belt.  Immediate upgrade to any outfit.
12. Colonel Littleton No. 23 Pocket Journal:  If your dad is a list guy (and who isn’t???), then the No. 23 journal from the Colonel is the way to go.  Just the right size so as not to overload a day.  Upgrade to alligator leather if you see fit.
13. Leatherman Wave Plus Multitool:  Does any glove box exist that doesn’t have some version of a Leatherman?  For Mr. Fix It.
14. Turtlebox Gen 2 Speaker:  So Dad can blast all the tunes from back when he was an undergrad…
15. Sister’s Sauce Premium Bloody Mary Mix:  Just the right way to ease into Sunday morning (after a wild Saturday night…).
16. Grateful Dad T-Shirt:  Our friends at Drifter Merch have a hard time keeping this in stock…for good reason!
17. Sentinal X Kermit Folding Chair:  The throne.

What did I miss?

Second good shaving cream. Also recommend Taylors of Old Bond Street. Throw in a safety razor and badger hair shaving brush and you’re set. Best shave, significantly cheaper and way more environmentally friendly than disposable razors.

Since picking up a Turtlebox, I swear I listen to more music now than I did when in college (MSU c/o 2005).

I received that Leatherman multi tool as a present from my boss a few Christmases ago, and it is the best material gift I have ever received (sorry family).
