Top of the Heap: Nick from Great Lakes Prep

My man Nick does an outstanding job of holding down the ‘Prep’ fort up North.  His blog Great Lakes Prep is a daily read, and has recently been picking up some steam.  Check out his contribution to ‘Top of the Heap’:

“My favorite thing that I own, something with a great deal of meaning to me, is my green seersucker Cordial Churchman bow tie.  This isn’t just any piece of neckwear, it’s the exact one I wore for my wedding, so anytime I wear it, it brings back memories of the happiest day of my life.  The funny thing is that it was so close to not having any special meaning attached to it.  Our wedding was on the shores of Lake Michigan, three hours from Indianapolis, and I mistakenly left the bow tie behind.  Luckily, one of my fraternity brothers was able to retrieve it from my apartment and deliver it to me only a couple hours before the wedding, so it also is a great reminder of the bonds of friendship and brotherhood.” – Nick Yoder, 2012
