I’m a complete sucker for the vintage camo. Whether it’s ‘duck camo’, ‘vintage camo’, or ‘old school camo’, there are some SERIOUS finds online. There are a couple companies who are still making it and I 100% commend them. Ball and Buck and Mission Mercantile are a couple, and I’m sure there are a few more (let me know in the comments…). MM has sold out of their stuff, but here’s to hoping we’ll see their offerings again.
I recently came across this beauty on the eBay and thought I’d share. This is a USA Made/Union Made Carhartt field jacket in my size. Carhartt made these a few years ago, and they are actually tough to find. I have the vest version in camo and brown. I couldn’t pull the trigger for fear of death from my better half, but I continue to drool over the pics. Check out the details…
Are you an old-school camo fan? Let’s hear it…

Camo has it’s place, sure. I think I have one of these, or a similar make…maybe Redhead or Pointer Brand?…in a box of hunting gear someplace. Just not something I’d put on unless I’m headed out hunting. You did well to pass on it even if it is a cool eBay find.
Good find for someone looking for a vintage camo coat for duck hunting or cold turkey hunting weather. Can’t envision usage for anything upland style. Could put an oil/wax finish on it and it would be a neat coat for those great duck hunting or turkey days that require bit of water repellent.
Great find you if you need a field coat style for duck or turkey hunting. Add an oil cloth or wax finish to it for those great fowl weather days and you would have an incredible classic coat. Growing up duck hunting in North Alabama we always used the Bean field coats that were brown. Could of used a camo pattern. Those bean coats in lowlight conditions hunting in a beaver pond had a tendency to stick out.
Sorry for double post.
