Spring Date Night

Our house is very ready for Winter to be over.  We’ve been enjoying the warmer temps, longer days, and relatively low humidity.  On those nights that we leave the boys at home, Mrs. RCS and I take every opportunity to sit outside on a patio.  Early drinks, 8PM dinner reservations, maybe an after-dinner cocktail, then home to relieve the babysitter by 10(ish).

As the nights lighten up, so does my look.  Lotta cotton.  Lotta tans.  Here’s how I’m doing it:

From Top Left:

1. Eton Dress Shirt: The BEST OTR dress shirt on the market.  I like a bold stripe under a relatively neutral outfit.  The star of the show.
2. Persol 714 Sunglasses:  We’ve talked about Persols for years, but they are starting to release some alternate colors in some of their classic frames.  I’ve seen these in person, and they are more tan vs. yellow.  Just right for this time of year.
3. Sid Mashburn Seersucker Military Jacket:  Absolutely incredible.  Solid seersucker is tough to beat.
4. Peter Millar Cotton 5-Pockets:  The more cotton the better.  There’s plenty of time before the sweat takes over.
5. Martin Dingman Italian Saddle Leather Belt:  You had me at ‘Italian’.
6. Rolex Day Date:  Rolex watches on leather straps don’t get enough action.  Especially a colorful exotic.  It’s a cool, classic look that won’t be forgotten…
7. Di Bianco Brera Suede Loafers:  I was introduced to Di Bianco at Miller Brothers and REALLY like the style.  Much more Italian vs. the Alden/American look, but super cool with no break pants and no socks.

What am I missing?

If you’re going out to dinner and then getting a post-dinner cocktail, why would you need a flask?
